Gem is super sweet girl who was surrendered to Dr. Allen's office to be put down because previous owners no longer wanted to care for her nor find her another home :( Gem was saved and brought to West Side Cats 4/14/23 where she was welcomed with open arms and hearts until a new family will come and adopt her, love her, and care for her properly. This poor love was declawed on ALL 4 paws by previous owners and was not properly being watched on how much food she was eating. SO now...after being in a home all of her 7 years of life..she finds herself in a strange place by no fault of her own :( Gem LOVES to be petted and enjoys your love and attention! Gem does not seem to like the other cats at the shelter and keeps to herself enjoying beds to snuggle and basking in the sun :) Because her food intake was not monitored, Gem is a bit overweight and was having trouble cleaning herself, so she was shaved to help her little bottom...Under the loving care of the volunteers at West Side Cats who will help get her on the right track to becoming healthy again...this sweetheart is waiting for YOU to come in and meet her! Please come in and meet this gorgeous golden gal!! Her green eyes tell a story of sadness of people who did not care for her and then basically threw her away :((( Gem is a GEM!!
