We all know that old song by Barry Manilow about Lola at the Cabana. Well West Side Cats has their own Lola! Lola has taken over the front office! She loves to just hang out and check everything out including file drawers, closets and shelves! She is very curious! Lola came in on 6/6/2016. She is a beautiful cat with a fur coat with White/Black spots on it. She is a complete declaw. Her owner was moving and couldn’t take Lola with her. She will turn 2 on July 31st so it would be great for Lola to have her own home to go to for her birthday present! She loves kids! No dogs please. She gets along with other cats but prefers to be the only one. So dance your way to West Side Cats and take a chance on Lola!

Here is one of the most wonderful cats in the world (including all others of course)! Mille is a 6 year old laid back female Brown Tabby who is particular on who she likes. She does NOT like male cats – or female cats either – go figure? So NO other cats in the home. We are not sure how Millie does with dogs though. She absolutely loves kids and people and would make make someone a wonderful addition to their family! Mille’s birthday is coming up in October on the 13th and she would really love a home of her own to be able to share her birthday with some special people! She is very easy and really just does her own thing. Please come and visit Millie soon as I’m sure she will be scooped up quickly! She is an awesome lady!
Bandit is a very special black male medium hair cat who is so awesome! Bandit is so friendly with humans as well as other cats and kittens at the shelter. Bandit is just over 9 years old with his birth on 1/1/2007. Bandit is very fit and active even at 9 years old! As you can see in one of the photos, he is very protective of the other cats here. Bandit is considered a “special needs” cat because he is older. He would do well in a home with other cats. Bandit has not been around dogs so I am not sure how he would react upon meeting one. Bandit loves everyone! Children would love Bandit. He is so kind and gentle! Bandit would make an absolute wonderful additional member of your family! You can come and see Bandit at the West Side Cats shelter Tuesday through Saturday from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Thanks so much! We can’t wait for Bandit to get his very own “Furrever” home!!!!
This pretty kitty cat was just sleeping in her bed and looking so cute I just had to get her photo! She woke up long enough for me to take two and then she said “the heck with you, I’m going back to sleep”! I can’t say I blame her – her bed looked nice and cozy! I wish they would make those beds big enough for people! Well here is Aliyah who is about 1 1/2 years young! Her birthdate is 1/1/15. She is a gorgeous Brown Tabby. She still needs to be fixed though so if you are interested in adopting her that would have to be done first. No cat leaves this shelter without being fixed! Aliyah came in on 6/1/16 with 4 kittens and now her kittens have all been adopted and she has been left behind. She is really sweet and cute with everyone! I couldn’t resist her once I spotted her relaxing! She is very good with kids. She does NOT get along with dogs. She doesn’t seem to mind other cats. Please stop by the shelter and meet Aliyah! She would make the purrfect companion for that special person!
Cuddles is a beautiful black cat who was born around 1/1/2012 so she is about 4 1/2 years young! She is shy being fairly new but she will definitely come around! We don’t have much background on her either. Dogs are unknown on how Cuddles would react. I think school age kids and adults would be absolutely fine with her. She is a wonderful cat! Come take a chance on Cuddles!
Doesn’t this cat remind you of Clara Bow? For those of you too young to know she was a famous actress back before they had talking movies. Here is our Clara in all her glory! Clara is a beautiful Orange Tabby. She was born on 2/26/15 so she is approximately 1 1/2 years old. She came into the shelter on May 14th of this year. We have discovered she does NOT like other cats or dogs! She is very friendly and absolutely LOVES people! So if you are a pet less house you just might want to come in and let Clara see if you are a match for you!
If you get hungry for a cookie, please come to West Side Cats and check out the Oreo! Oreo is a sweet, loving and friendly black female cat. She is roughly 1 1/2 years young! She did come in with Alopecia most likely because of her over grooming herself. That can be due to stress. Her hair is coming back in so that is good. Oreo does NOT like other cats. She stays to herself. She is very good with kids and loves them! We don’t know how she does with dogs though? Stop by and see her! We are open 3 to 7 P.M. Tuesday – Saturday. Thanks!
Joan is a very silly cat as you can see! Joan turned 1 on May 1, 2016. She is a wonderful Brown Tabby! She gets along very well with other cats. We are not sure about dogs or children but she is good natured so I would have to say older children are okay. Please come see silly Joan at the shelter! She would love to have a family that she can be silly with! Love Joan!
Look who I caught trying to take a Siesta the other day! It’s our Sherman! Sherman is quite the guy! He turned 5 on January 1, 2016. He is a handsome Black and White Cat. He was dumped in the shelter in a suitcase! Who would do that???? Sherman was adopted out in 2015 but after some time went by he was returned in 2016 because he didn’t get along with the owners cat! Sherman HAS to be the only cat in your home. He doesn’t like dogs either. I would say that Sherman would do best with an older couple who would like to have a fairly quiet life with you. Could you think that maybe Sherman has a future with you? He is waiting here at West Side Cats!
