Here at West Side Cats Harper came in about a couple of weeks ago. He was extremely scared. He is a big Orange cat who was surrendered because his owner was moving to a place that did not allow cats. Harper is just over 4 years old – 1/1/12. He does not like the other cats and spends most of the day hiding on them. We are not sure about dogs but I would say probably not with him being timid. He does love to lay on people and get picked up. We are working with him to come out of his timidness. The other night I was in the front office and I watched him peeking out from the glass in the other room. He is doing better but it is going to take someone to really love him and work with him. Harper is a really nice cat who has just undergone some heartbreak and needs a home of his own where he can be an only cat. School age kids would be ok. So please stop by West Side Cats anytime Tuesday through Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. Please give Harper a second chance at a great life! Thanks!

Benny (Benny and his sister Betsy have to be adopted together). They are currently at PetSmart in Niles. They have been adopted!!!!Tuesday, March 22nd, 2016
UPDATE: Benny and his sister Betsy along with Bertie and Barbie are now at PetSmart in Niles.
Benny came in with his brother and two sisters. They were all left by a dumpster and as you can imagine they were very frightened! Well Benny being a kitten has come a long way! Benny was born on 11/12/15 so he is just a youngster! He is a handsome Orange kitten with an awesome personality! He has to be adopted though with his sister Betsy. The four kittens have started off in this world at a disadvantage so we need the two to be with each other and the other two are staying together for security and comfort reasons. All 4 of them are starting to forget about what they have been through at such a young age. Please stop by West Side Cats and visit with Benny and Betsy (and Barbie and Bertie). These kittens will keep you amused believe me! We are open Tuesday through Saturday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
Update on Gaylee!! He was adopted!!! Thank you for giving Gaylee his “Furrever” home!!!!! Love you Gaylee!
Here is another handsome young man! He was in the group that came from the Chicago area last weekend. Gaylee is a wonderful orange male who was born on 9/1/13. He is very friendly and seems to get along with other cats just fine! We don’t know his background so unknown about dogs. I think older kids would be fine with Gaylee. I think he has the longest tail that I have ever seen! Please stop by West Side Cats and say hi to Gaylee! He is well worth the trip! You will love him! Gaylee helped Aster pack up their bag of toys and went over to PetSmart in Boardman!
For all the world to see: Your Majesty, Your Royal Highness – King Daryl!!! Daryl is considered a Special Needs cat because he is very nervous and he has been given to us as a feral cat. He was being fed outside by a wonderful person who then brought him in when the weather turned colder. So he has had interaction with people. It would take a very special person(s) to work with Daryl. You must have a lot of patience and time and never allow him to be outside again. Daryl just had a birthday on 11/6 and he turned 2. Daryl has a lot of years to live out. I would hate to see him never get a home. He is a beautiful boy! He has never been aggressive with me, just nervous and timid. As you can see he is a beautiful orange cat! He is a big boy! I love Daryl! He can be visited at West Side Cats? any Tuesday through Saturday from 2 P.M. to 6 P.M. Please come introduce yourself to Daryl and give him a chance at a wonderful life at your house! Daryl would be worth every moment and thanks you for just reading this. Daryl thinks he is just misunderstood. He comes down when it is time to eat and interacts with the volunteers and the other cats. I would not recommend having a dog with him though just because we don’t know his background. I think he would like a quiet home so he can learn to trust again. Love Daryl.
Orange Julius still here at West Side Cats waiting for my Furever Family! Won’t you come visit me and see what an awesome cat I am? I was abandoned at the doorstep out front and luckily found by one of the wonderful volunteers! They brought me in so I can eat, sleep and play here in this house. I’m not out wandering the streets where terrible things can happen! My birthdate is 4/27/14 so I am still a very young male. Of course I have been fixed (ouch!) and had my shots. Please come see me (and all my friends) Tuesday – Saturday – 2 to 6 P.M. and starting June 1st we will be open from 3 to 7 P.M. on those days. Hope I see you soon!!!! Love,
Sherbet is an orange male and his birthday is 2/15/2010. He is looking for a wonderful family to call his own. Can you please come to West Side Cats and visit him? I know that you will just love him to pieces!
