(Siesta) Sherman!

Wednesday, June 22nd, 2016

Look who I caught trying to take a Siesta the other day! It’s our Sherman! Sherman is quite the guy! He turned 5 on January 1, 2016. He is a handsome Black and White Cat. He was dumped in the shelter in a suitcase! Who would do that???? Sherman was adopted out in 2015 but after some time went by he was returned in 2016 because he didn’t get along with the owners cat! Sherman HAS to be the only cat in your home. He doesn’t like dogs either. I would say that Sherman would do best with an older couple who would like to have a fairly quiet life with you. Could you think that maybe Sherman has a future with you? He is waiting here at West Side Cats!

Timmy!

Wednesday, June 1st, 2016

This owner of this cat asked a friend to watch him while they were gone and they never came back to get him! I will never understand this? Timmy is a wonderful black/white male cat who is no trouble at all! The friend cared for Timmy as long as they could but could not keep him. They thought Timmy would be safe and loved at West Side Cats until we can find him a home. His birthday is around 1/1/12 so we have another 4 1/2 year old. How can you just leave a cat after all that time? Well Timmy would love a home again with someone to love him! Please stop by and see Timmy and see if he would like to adopt you!!!!

Barbie and Bertie – they MUST stay together! They are currently at PetSmart in Niles. The have been adopted!!!!!!!

Saturday, March 19th, 2016

UPDATE: Benny and his sister Betsy along with Bertie and Barbie are now at PetSmart in Niles.

I would love to introduce Barbie! No – not that Barbie! Our Barbie is a beautiful female Tortie who was born on 11/12/15 and then left by a dumpster along with 3 other kittens! Barbie is very playful as you can imagine! She has a great personality! If you would like to make Barbie a member of your family – you must take her brother Bertie also. They MUST stay together. They have already been mistreated in this world and they feel safer and happier staying together! Bertie is a handsome male Black/White kitten who is also wonderful! They make a great comedy team! They will keep you amused for hours with their antics! I hope you can find space in your heart and your home for these two wonderful kitties! They really deserve a chance since they have been through so much already! Thank you! Barbie and Bertie!!! They hope to see you soon!

Emiri

Monday, March 7th, 2016

Here is our one and only Emiri! Several of us here at West Side Cats pronounce it different ways so go ahead and say it how you like! After adopting her you can always change the name! Emiri was born on 4/1/13 so she is coming up on her 3rd birthday soon! Wouldn’t it be wonderful if she had a wonderful “Furrever” home as a birthday present! That would mean so much to her! Emiri is a black and White short haired cat. She is so super sweet! She is shy though and has some fear issue from something in her background which is unknown to us. Once Emiri knows you she will love you! She gets along with the other cats here at the shelter. We have been told that she gets along with some dogs. They didn’t give us anything more specific than that. Emiri also gets along with some children but preferably older kids she would do better with. For Emiri to really come around she would do really well with no children or dogs around but she does seem to be flexible. With all the volunteers around she has come out of her shell to a certain extent. She just needs you to have patience and love with her and give her time to adjust. Emiri will make you such a wonderful companion if you just give her a chance! Please stop by West Side Cats and visit with Emiri and spend some time with her. I’m sure you will see what we all see! Thanks! Love and purrs – Emiri!Emiri

Spotty Marie!

Sunday, February 21st, 2016

Meet the one and only Spotty Marie! She is just over a year old being born on 9/16/14. She was rescued by a special person but that person was unable to have Spotty Marie stay in their household so they left her in our care. They knew she would be well taken care of. Spotty Marie is a special needs cat. Spotty Marie needs an extra special home where she can stay inside and be well taken care of. She is well behaved but a little on the timid side. Can you please give Spotty Marie a special place in your heart and home? You both would be well rewarded!Spotty Marie 1

Handsome Mickey!!!! Mickey was adopted!!!

Sunday, February 7th, 2016

At West Side Cats we have a handsome hunk of a male cat! His name is Mickey and he is a Black/White feline who turned 6 years young on 9/1/2009. Mickey would make someone a wonderful Senior Companion! Mickey does get along with other cats here at the shelter but we don’t have any background as far as how he gets along with kids, dog or kids and dogs? He has a sister Minnie who I will be posting later this week. They could go together or separately. Their owner moved and couldn’t take them with them. Please come in and say hi to Mickey anytime Tuesday – Saturday from 2 to 6 P.M. You will be glad that you did!Mickey 1

Zoey and her brother Zak have been adopted together!!!!!!!

Monday, January 11th, 2016

Here at West Side Cats there is a beautiful Black/White cat named Zoey. She just turned 8 years old on January 1st. Zoey is “front paw declawed” so she is considered “Special Needs”. She does get along well with other cats. In fact she has a brother Zak and if at all possible they would love to stay together! Unfortunately Zoey does not do well with dogs or children of any age. Zoey (and Zak) would make someone wonderful Senior Companions. Zoey is very affectionate and loves to be petted. Won’t you stop by West Side Cats and see Zoey and her brother Zak. I know you would fall in love with them!!!!Zoey 1
