Josephine has already had her adoption pre-paid by a wonderful person by the name of Jason Cooke. She is already to go to her Furrever Home! Josephine is a Dilute Tortie with long hair. She gets along very well with other cats and also gets along with dogs. We are unsure how she would be with children but she is very mild mannered. I think she would be ok. She was part of a clean-up that saved her and other cats from fending for themselves (even in the winter). Josephine is almost 4 years old. She was born around 1/1/2012. Please come and visit with Josephine! She will help you pack her up and away you will go! She is a very beautiful cat and keeps herself extremely clean. You will just fall in love with her!! We are located at 2217 Mahoning Avenue in Youngstown, OH 44509 and you can call 330-792-4228 for any questions about Josephine and all the other cats and kittens who need their Furrever homes!! Thanks!!
I would love to introduce you to David – our shining star! David was brought in to West Side Cats? on 11/7/2015 with an injured leg. Thank you to that wonderfully kind person who indeed saved David’s life! David is a handsome Tiger Striped Brown Tabby cat. We immediately sent him to the Vet and David has improved 110%! A thank you goes out to Dr. Allen who helps out West Side Cats – we couldn’t do this without him!! You should see David walking around on 3 legs just like nothing! We are not sure about his age. He seems to get along fine with the other cats. We don’t know how he does with dogs. I think he would be good with children as long as they are good with him. David is considered a Special Needs cat because of his missing leg. He seems to be able to do most everything he needs to! He has adjusted very well considering what he was like when he came in! Please come in Tuesday – Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. and see our wonderful shining star – the star of David!!!!!
This is our big guy Orange at West Side Cats! I know I’ve put him up recently but tonight we thought we would give him a change of scenery and bring him downstairs. Orange loves sinks! He usually sits in the small one upstairs. Well guess what – Orange found the HUGE sink/bathtub downstairs! I was walking by and he proceeded to talk to me telling me he had a new sink to sit in! Then he stood up and really started talking to me! It was so funny I just had to get a photo of him! I must have been in the right place at the right time because Orange stood there proudly showing off his new discovery! He is in Heaven with this BIG sink!!
Orange is a very loving cat! He loves to be petted and will give you head butts! I have heard that a head butt is the sincerest form of flattery a cat can give a person! Not sure how old he is. He is a good size male. Orange is a Special Needs Cat and would make a wonderful Senior Companion just because he takes a little extra care. He seems to love other Cats, People and Dogs. Orange would do well in a quiet home though. Please stop by at West Size Cats and meet Orange (and of course all his friends)! You will wonder how you ever lived without a cat and maybe leave with Orange! We want to find Orange a great home which he so deserves!
Whitey went over to PetSmart in Niles and was adopted!!!! Way to go Whitey!!!!!! At West Side Cats we had a new arrival the other day. A wonderful person brought in Whitey who had been living in the woods since spring when her owner moved and left her to fend for herself. Whitey is almost 7 years old and is a Special Needs cat and would make a wonderful Senior Companion! She came into the shelter on 11/5/2015 thankfully so she could be warm and eat and sleep in a safe environment. Whitey loves to sit on your lap and be cuddled and petted. If she trusts you she will purr. We are not sure if she gets along with children or dogs. She seems to just mind her own business around the other cats and doesn’t go out of her way to bother any of them. She is a beautiful white feline! When I took her photos, she came right up to me purring away. I guess I made a new friend! Whitey is available for adoption anytime Tuesday through Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. We are located at 2217 Mahoning Avenue in Youngstown, OH 44509. Or call 330-792-4228 with any questions. Whitey will be your own little sweetheart! She deserves a great new Furrever home!
Chloe is a really special girl! She turned 10 on 2/1/2005 so she really needs a very quiet home being the only pet. Chloe is so mild mannered and laid back. She doesn’t bother the other cats and kind of does her own thing. She is also very affectionate and loves to be made a fuss over. She came to us when her owner had to go to a nursing home and it broke the owner’s heart to have to give Chloe up! We reassured her that Chloe would be well taken care of and we will try and try to get Chloe another Furrever home that she so deserves. She has made the adjustment very well and I know that she would be able to do it again.
Can you find it in your heart to give Chloe a warm and wonderful home of her own? Chloe can melt your heart with her goodness! Please come visit with Chloe and I just know you will want to take her home with you! West Side Cats is located at 2217 Mahoning Avenue, Youngstown, OH 44509. Or call 330-792-4228. Chloe will be standing by waiting for your arrival! Chloe says Thank You to all of you out there! Let’s give Chloe an awesome Furrever home for the Holidays! I can see her with a Santa hat on next to your Christmas tree!
Meet our sleek and beautiful Asia here at West Side Cats! Asia turned 5 on 2/25/15 and she is certainly a wonderful girl! She is a little on the timid side. Just approach her slowly and offer to let her sniff your hand and then pet her. Asia is just fine all by herself (she does get along with the other cats) but we prefer her to go to a home with no other pets in the home. Not sure how she does with children. Asia has been at the shelter for awhile now and really, really wants her Furrever home! Can you accommodate her with her request? You won’t regret it! Asia has plenty of love to give to that someone special! Stop by West Side Cats Tuesday through Saturday from 2 to 6 P.M. and come pet Asia! She really deserves her Furrever home soon! Asia sends her love, purrs and kisses!
Who doesn’t like Tortie’s? At West Side Cats we have a few! This beautiful Tortie calls herself Marble (or as I call her – Ms. Marble)! Marble is a sweetheart from the word go! She is so gentle and peaceful, she never bothers anyone. She is full of sweetness and loves children and gets along well with other cats. We are not sure about dogs but it wouldn’t surprise me that she loves them also. Marble just does her own thing. Ms. Marble is just over 5 years young. When she was brought into WSC and taken to the vet Dr. Allen, she was found to have 3 BB’s in her. These were all removed by the wonderful Dr. Allen who does so much for our cats and kittens! Thank you sir! Ms. Marble was brought in with 3 kittens who have long found Furrever homes. Won’t you make it 4 out of 4 and give Ms. Marble a wonderful Furrever home where she stays inside and gets spoiled by you? Please stop by 2217 Mahoning Avenue soon any Tuesday through Saturday from 2 to 6 P.M. and meet the wonderful and beautiful Ms. Marble!!!! Both of you would be so rewarded!!! Marble says “Love You”!
Come introduce yourself to Butterscotch who hangs out with all her friends upstairs at West Side Cats! She turned 4 on April 3, 2015 so she is still young. She is very scared though. Butterscotch will take some patience and time for her to come around. Seems to me there has been some neglect for her in her background. Butterscotch is very active and doesn’t bother the other cats. Not sure how she is around dogs and children though.
Come and visit our wonderful Felines who hang out upstairs and downstairs at West Side Cats! We are open Tuesday through Saturday from 2 P.M. until 6 P.M. Since November is adopt a Senior Cat Month you will find quite a few older cats upstairs that need a Furrever Home! Won’t you be the one who helps us out? Love, Butterscotch!!!!!
At West Side Cats we have some cats upstairs and some cats and kittens downstairs. Some people who visit never make it to the upstairs due to all that cuteness downstairs.
In honor of Adopt a Senior Pet Month I am going to be putting up photos of some of our upstairs older cats! This one is beautiful Lilac! Lilac was found on a Sub Zero night tied to a gate at a condo community. Because of her experience she is timid. But time and patience working with her I believe will bring out the awesome personality that lies beneath!
Lilac is on the quiet side and doesn’t bother anyone. She is considered a Special Needs Cat because of her trauma. She is a beautiful Buff colored short haired cat. We figure her birthday is around 1/1/2009 so she is almost 7. She is very agile and runs around and gets her exercise. She would make a wonderful Senior Companion so she needs a home without other cats, dogs, or children.
Please come visit Lilac and all her friends upstairs at West Side Cats. You can go downstairs after you check out our adult “clowder” of cats!!!! Thanks from Lilac and all her friends both upstairs and downstairs!
